This building is located on the corner of Jl. Pos and Jl. Kesenian, north of Lapangan Banteng. It used to be called Schowberg Playhouse, now known as Gedung Kesenian. The building was built in 1821 and it was restored and reopened in 1987 as a stylish performing arts hall. For a touch of nostalgia take in a show (usually dance or music) at Gedung Kesenian, it’s worth a visit just for the atmosphere.
